What the document contains

1. The heading with number, place and date, and the parties named in full with their roles
2. The seller and the buyer with identity data
3. The vehicle: make, model, year, colour, body type, VIN, engine number, plate number, registration certificate and mileage
4. The price in digits and words and how it is paid
5. Handover of the vehicle, keys and documents, its condition and known defects
6. Re-registration: who applies and in what term
7. The liability of the parties and the effect of force majeure
8. The order of resolving disputes: negotiations, then the courts of the Republic of Armenia
9. Final provisions: entry into force, amendments only in writing, the number of copies of equal force
10. The parties’ details (an individual: passport, social card number, address, bank account; a company: tax ID, state registration number, address, bank, account, the signatory) and both signatures

What to know before signing

• The change of owner is formalised through a notary or the state online service for used cars and registered by the road police, so a note is added.
• The VIN, plate and certificate numbers are never invented.
