Power of attorney for real estate — sample 2026
A power of attorney that lets another person act for the owner in matters of an apartment or other real estate.
Create in 2 minutesWhat the document contains
- Place and date of issue
- The principal and the attorney, each with full name, date of birth, passport or ID card (number, issued by, date) and registered address
- The property: address, cadastral code, area, and the certificate of state registration of ownership (number and date)
- The powers: represent before the Cadastre Committee, notaries, utility companies and banks, sign and submit applications; and only when asked, sell, gift, mortgage, lease or receive the money
- Delegation, validity period, signature and a note that a notary certifies it
What to know before signing
- Place and date of issue are mandatory: a power of attorney without the date of issue is void.
- State the validity period as the person gives it; with no period stated it is valid for one year from issue.
- Say whether the attorney may delegate the powers; without it, delegation is not allowed.
- Transactions with real estate are notarised and the rights registered with the Cadastre Committee, so the power of attorney for them is notarised too.
